Can you get rid of wards?
Is there any way to get rid of wards like ward against foes and ward against elements? They seem really really good by their descriptions and can be perma'd with high enough attribute.
During the beta event sometimes the enemies would drop wards and rituals. One time I tried to attack one that looked like it was at half life and my character just glitched and ran away from it; dunno maybe a pathing problem. |

Wards are only effective if the enemies are allowed to stay within their protective radius, and of course.. letting the enemy control the fight is never a good idea.
We had a Guild try a strategy based around Wards on us this weekend, essentially they rooted themselves down with them, dropped a lot of traps, and then proceeded to commence focusing Obsidian Flames. It's not a bad idea, if a bit dated, but unfortunately for them .. this whole concept can be defeated by two, maybe three skills. When enemies are clustered up within a Ward, you want something that's going to force them to move out of it. Chaos Storm can work, but the radius is not so hot, so a better choice against a caster heavy group would be Maelstrom. Searing Heat usually gets people to move, but Meteor Shower is the Fire line's heavy hitter for busting a turtle Ward. It's not going to do anyone any good to remain there if they're getting knocked down, right? |

Hmm I thought the ward area was bigger than that.
Also, any clarifications on my ward-attacking problem? I stood next to what I think was a ward, clicked it, and my character feinted toward the ward then ran away. This happened multiple times. The thing appeared to be at half health. Perhaps it was immune to my illusionary weapon damage? Edit: And when I said the wards seemed really good, I mean really good. 26 armor vs all and over 60 vs fire for a maxed out Ward Against Harm is going to make fire aoe's rather unimpressive. erm... ward applies to earth elem.. the yellowish shingy circle.. and they are not spammable as they takes a while to recharge. u can get out of them easily to either get away from the lowdown (enemy's ward) or stay in them to recieve the bonous (your own party), theres so many spells u can use to make ppl get away from 1 specific area, and out of the ones Spooky listed, Eruption is another good ones that does good damage and blind enemy at the end.
attackin ward? i dont think u can do taht unless u are talking about the spirit cast by ranger. |

Alright. Wards indestructible, spirits attackable you say. I only have one event worth of experience, so I'll just assume it all works out unless I learn otherwise then.
